Electrolysis of Water to generate HYDROGEN (HHO) a study of the effects of Additional HHO to Gasoline for improved engine performance

The Electrolysis of Water to Generate Hydrogen (HHO) and a Study of the Effect ??

This study aims to create a basic and creative HHO production system by using water electrolysis. It also aims to examine how adding hydroxyl gas HHO to petrol, which is commonly used as fuel in 4-stroke engines, affects its performance. The HHO cell is designed to generate the highest amount of HHO gas possible with the least amount of power input. Different catalysts are tested, with potassium hydroxide found to be the most effective. The findings revealed that the cell produced the most gas, 68 liters per hour, when using a KOH concentration of 6 grams per liter.

ABSTRACT:    The objective of this project is to design and construct a straightforward and original system for producing hydrogen and oxygen gas (HHO) through water electrolysis, and to investigate the impact of adding HHO gas to gasoline in a four-stroke engine. The HHO cell is optimized for maximum gas production per unit of input power. The optimal catalyst system is identified as potassium hydroxide, with a maximum productivity of 68 liters per hour of HHO gas when using 6 grams per liter of KOH

The results also showed 55% in the gasoline engine thermal efficiency.

KEYWORDS: Electrolysis, Fuel & Thermal Efficiency

RESULTS OF TEST:

The tests demonstrated notable enhancements in fuel efficiency when utilizing a compact 4-stroke gasoline engine, despite the fact that the Neutral plate system in use was not optimized. The hydrogen generator’s modest output of 550 ml per minute is notably low, yet it still yielded discernible savings in fuel consumption when applied to a small motor.

However the Hydrox Systems HHO generators by comparison produces allot more Hydrogen per minutes than the above test! designed and built by Hydrox Systems of Sofia Bulgaria has been shown to Produce a much greater volume of Hydrogen gas for a similar voltage and current  – in excess of 3.0 litres per minute .

The Savings of 33 % for trucks and 30% for cars is documented in the extensive tests performed by Hydrox Systems: Wbsites: NZ www.hho.nz and Australia www.h2hybrid.au/
